Oosterschelde in the afternoon

I lived close to the Oosterschelde ( 5 minutes walk), where I often enjoyed the combination of sky, water and color. The strangest colors I sometimes observed, especially when the afternoon turns into evening.  Sometimes I took a picture as proof, because they seemed so unnatural. To capture the atmosphere of the quiet autumn day, I used watercolor, ink, acrylic and oil pastels. The layering fascinates me greatly and the atmosphere this artwork/sketch shows is a realistic representation of the hues that were there at the time.
